Hi my Lovelies,
We all look for that perfectly natural glowing skin. But its not always possible and that’s when highlighters come to our rescue. Unfortunately in India we do not have a lot of options when it comes to highlighters or illuminators especially in drugstore brands. Recently Faces came up with their reformulated Ultime Pro Metaliglow that seemed like a great product. I had been waiting to share my views about this amazing illuminator with you guys but it didn’t happen earlier. Nonetheless, now that I am here with this amazing product, I will share my thoughts with you. 🙂
- Faces Metaliglow is a collection of gel based illuminator that glides easily, brightens the complexion and adds instant luminosity.
- Ultrafine light-reflecting pearls melts into the skin for a polished, natural-looking radiance. It has high percentage of thin pearls to deliver a precious, homogeneous glow. Its aqua based formula leaves a cooling effect on your face.
- It is dermatologically tested and paraben free.
- Metaliglow can be used alone or mixed with a lotion to be used all over your face and body to highlight and create a sun-kissed, bronzed look for a sexier you!
Use it as a highlighter or just pat it over your foundation for a subtle glow.
INR 799/- for 15ml.
Faces Metaliglow is a range of gel based illuminators that glides on the skin, blends in really well and gives an amazing illuminous look while brightening up your complexion.
These gel based highlighters come in a convenient see through plastic bottle packaging with a pump dispenser and a matte black cap. The packaging may seem a bit bulky but I am fine with carrying it along.
These highlighters come in three shades Opal, Champagne and Topaz that cater to various skintones.
01 Opal is suitable for beauties with pink undertones and pale complexion. It is beautiful pink toned pearly highlighter with silver sheen.
02 Champagne is the perfect shade for all Indian lovelies especially those with warmer skintones. This is a beautiful gold-champagne highlighter with yellow undertone.
03 Topaz is crafted for those with medium to dusky skintones. It is a bronzy highlighter having rose gold sheen to it. It is the darkest shade in the range.
I picked up the shades 02 Champagne and 03 Topaz and must say I am absolutely in love with these. 🙂 In the pictures these shades may look quite similar but in the swatches you can see the exact difference. These highlighters have good color pay-off and little product is goes long way.
Due to its aqua gel based liquid texture these highlighters feel very light and non-greasy providing slight cooling sensation. Ultra-fine shimmers in these highlighters are milled beautifully and formulated in the liquid base. It gives a gorgeous soft glow to the skin without looking like a glitter ball. The glow is evident but you cannot go overboard looking OTT.
You can either use these illuminators on their own applying it on the high points of your face or mix them with your foundation for an overall radiance. One thing that you need to be particularly careful about is that these highlighters dry down pretty quickly and you need to blend it before that else they would set and won’t blend easily. Once these highlighters set on the skin they won’t budge or move around. I haven’t tried these mixing with my foundation as it may give a streaky finish after setting and would end up look patchy.
Oily skinned beauties need not worry about a super oily finish, since these set into satin matte finish that won’t budge after drying down. These highlighters stay put on me for a decent 5-6 hours post which it starts fading. By far these are the best drugstore liquid highlighters available in the Indian market.
My thoughts about the Faces Ultime Pro Metaliglow
These aqua gel based illuminators are light-weight and non-greasy which is a big yay!! 🙂 These are amazing highlighters for our oily skinned beauties. These illuminators come in 3 beautiful shades catering to all skintones. It gives a subtle glow that does not look OTT. The only downside is that once it sets it does not budge post which it does not blend easily. I am not sure if I should even consider it as a downside because that’s the reason why it lasts long.
Absolute must have Illuminator. 🙂 By far these are the best drugstore liquid highlighters available in the Indian market. If you ask me about one particular shade I would recommend you to go with would be Champagne as it is a beautiful shade that would look great on all skintones.
Have you guys tried these amazing Illuminators? Did you like them?
