Hi my Lovelies, I shared my recent Nykaa sale haul with you guys and some of you wanted me to review Maybelline Color Sensational 3D Eyeshadow Palette, so I am here to review it for you.
Mix and layer to create sensual gradation eyes with creamy essence powder. Add vibrant dimension with top coat.
Maybelline New York introduces the first-ever eye palette with a 3-dimensional top coat, the Color Sensational Diamond Eye Shadow. It has amazing texture with three hues of pearl powder, one glitter and one matte powder to exclusively highlight your eyes. It is perfect to add just the right amount of glitter to make your eyes shine. The top coat is made with micro crushed pearls to give that alluring 3D finish.

Maybelline 3D eyeshadow palette comes in a small black cardboard box with all the details mentioned on it. The actual product comes in a black diamond pattern embossed plastic box in which all the five eyeshadows are organised very well. It has a transparent flip open lid which makes it travel friendly. A small dual ended sponge applicator is also provided which I don’t use but it can be used to fill the tear duct area. I like its cute packaging.
Maybelline Color Sensational Diamond Eye Shadow Palettes come in 5 shades namely Topaz Gold, Sapphire Blue, Tourmaline Purple and Rose Quartz Pink. Each palette contains 5 eyeshadows arranged in geometric pattern. You can create various looks using a single palette from neutral everyday look to an evening smokey eye look. Each palette includes a subtle brow bone highlighter, a neutral base colour, metallic medium dark smokey shade, dark smokey shade and shimmery top coat. I picked up the shade Rose Quartz Pink since I do not own any pink eyeshadow and wanted to give this a try.
Shade A: This shade can be used a highlighting shade. It is a beautiful cream beige shade having micro shimmers. It is decently pigmented.
Shade B: This is a perfect neutral shade which can be used as a base colour. It is pinkish brown shade with pink microshimmers. It looks gorgeous in the palette but not on the eyelids. Sadly this shade is less pigmented of all the shades available in the palette.
Shade C: It is a dark copper brown shade with pink microshimmers in it. This also can be either be used as a base colour for smokey eye look or to create the outer v. This shade is quiet pigmented.
Shade D: This shade can be used to create a glam smokey eye look. It is the darkest shade of them all and very decently pigmented.
Shade E: It is a beautiful rose pink shade with lots of microshimmers in it. It gives a 3D effect to the eyes. The pigmentation is fine. It is a perfect neutral shimmery shade.
Here are the swatches on my hand.
All the shades look beautiful in the palette and when swatched on hands but don’t look great on eyelids. These work best when applied using wet eyeshadow brushes and also over an eyeshadow base. You need to build the shades by layering the product.
These eyeshadows stayed on my eyelids for about 3-4 hours after which they started fading. The best part about these eyeshadows is that they don’t crease and also they do not fallout during or post application.
My thoughts about Maybelline Color Sensational 3D Eyeshadow Palette in Rose Quartz Pink
I like the variety of beautiful shades in the palette that can be used to create an everyday neutral look to glam smokey eye look. The eyeshadows are decently pigmented except one. The top coat gives a beautiful 3D effect to the eyes. It is affordable. Overall it is a good palette but I wish the eyeshadows were more pigmented.
Overall it is a decent Indian Drugstore Eyeshadow Palette. Those looking for an affordable and decent shimmery eyeshadow palette should go for it.
Here, I created a look using these eyeshadows with wet eyeshadow brushes. The pigmentation did feel better than my previous look which I had created for the first impressions post here. In the pictures you can’t really see the difference though I tried my best but even in the natural lighting the colour did not show up due to its poor pigmentation.
